Slowing Down
I am in the North GA Mountains with friends this weekend, and I am astounded by how different the pace of picking ripe apples and hiking is from the humming, continuous clatter that my life had become. For the first time in months, I feel the exquisite sigh that only comes after a long laugh shared between good friends. I am exhaling after three months of to do lists, expectations and falling behind. When today passes, I know all of those things are waiting for me again, but my cup is full because for just a brief moment I am truly resting.

I love this! how refreshing. wouldn't it be great if we could feel that EVERY evening, at the end of the day. :-)
